Mosaic News :: 3rd July, 2006
Welcome to this weeks Mosaic News, keeping you up-to-date with what is happening within the Mosaic community.
Jazz in the Gardens
Instead of meeting at the Devonshire Cat like we have the last few alternate Wednesdays, we thought this week we would go to Jazz in the Gardens on Thursday evening. It runs from 7pm to 10.45pm at the Botanical Gardens. The plan is to meet just inside the top entrance around 7pm.
If you could contact us to let us know whether you’re coming, then we can know to look out for you. Feel free to invite anyone else along too. It should be a great evening. It will cost £6 on the door or £5 if you get your tickets in advance (see website for details).
The Ideas Box
Following on from Helen’s suggestion, we have decided to set up an ideas box where people can share ideas, thoughts, and passions. Our vision at Mosaic is to unleash the unique and creative potential of every individual and we hope that this might become an additional forum where creative ideas and thoughts can be discussed, developed, and turned into actual initiatives. You can find out more about this by clicking the The Ideas Box icon on the top right.
No Pilates again this week
Due to us going to Jazz in the Gardens this week, Pilates won’t be happening again this week. We should be back on for the week after though.
“How Gucci helped me get married
This is just a funny story that Sam shared last week on his blog. We thought you might enjoy reading it! You can read it here.
About Mosaic: A community of dreamers and visionaries
Our desire at Mosaic is to see people reaching their potential and living out their dreams. We want to be a diverse community that brings people together from all walks of life and empowers them to make a real difference for good in our world. We hope to free people from living self-absorbed lives and equip them to live lives that are defined by serving others. Jesus Himself said that the purpose of life is this: love God and love your neighbours. We won’t ever be fully alive until our focus in life is more than just ourselves. We come alive when we find our place in serving humanity. Read more…
